Proudly made in Canada, Brave Leather is a true homegrown success story. Founder Scott Irvine, the first in his family to graduate from university, surprised everyone by choosing life as a leather crafter, selling his handmade belts as a street vendor in Toronto in 1992. More than three decades later, Brave has grown into one of the most stylish and innovative leathercraft houses around, and every step of the process, from cutting the hides to punching the final holes, still happens in its Toronto workshop. Brave is just as thoughtful about how its pieces are made as how they look, using leather sourced as a by-product of the food industry along with water-based dyes and adhesives. The result is a collection of beautifully crafted belts and leather accessories that blend modern design with time-honoured hand-finishing, built to wear well and look better with age.
